Jacqueline Delores Coward was born on February 5, 1929 to the late William and Gertrude (Richardson) Nichols in Detroit, Michigan. Jacqueline departed this life at the age of 83 early Sunday morning, March 4, 2012 in Providence Hospital. She was united in holy matrimony to Charles C. Coward in 1948 and to this union four children were born.

Jacqueline attended local schools, graduating from Northwestern High School. Later she returned to evening school and received a certificate in Business. She worked at the United States Postal Service and retired with 25 years of service in 1989.

She loved her family and enjoyed the frequent gatherings and the impromptu parties that were given on a moment’s notice.
